To overcome these limitations a team of researchers in the US (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Microsoft, MIT, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Washington University) is developing simulations that provide a glimpse into how quantum computers work.
